Glenn specialises in construction, property and real estate development law. He is a member of the Construction, Engineering and Projects team and head of the Real Estate team in the Dubai office.
Glenn is an Australian lawyer and has been with CRS in the Gulf region since 2014.
His broad experience includes acting for clients in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
Over his career, Glenn has been advising employers, developers, contractors, subcontractors and consultants on various projects throughout the GCC, northern Africa, London, Malta and Australia.
Glenn’s practical knowledge of the real estate and construction industry, along with regional experience and expertise in the law, gives him the unique ability to focus on finding practical outcomes and commercial solutions for his clients.
Experience
- Glenn has advised on various construction projects in the Gulf, including large-scale infrastructure projects, rail projects, residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
- Glenn has been involved in very substantial real estate development transactions, including multiple PPP agreements, drafting and negotiating various development management agreements, acting on the purchase and sale of sports grounds and facilities, advising on various hotel management agreements and large commercial leasing matters – particularly with a development focus.
- Glenn has also advised on community structuring aspects in relation to several large master-planned developments in the region.
- Glenn has in-house experience having worked for a rail operator in Australia and has been on secondment with a Qatari State entity that is undertaking several large developments in the region.
- Glenn’s expertise in construction law includes having undertaken various construction management subjects at a Master’s level, including Project Management, Project Evaluation, Time Scope & Cost and Risk Evaluation & Assessment as well obtaining substantial ‘hands-on’ experience through various senior level secondment appointments.

Salman Badr currently held the position of the Executive Vice President, Infrastructure Advisory in the National Center for Privatization & PPP since January 2021. Prior to that Salman served as Director of Investments at The Saudi Industrial Investments Company (Dussur), an industrial investment and development company.
Salman’s experience also includes an executive leadership role in an international defense logistics company, as well as private equity and infrastructure investment execution in a global emerging markets private equity firm.
Salman holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Political Science with Honors from the University of Toronto, Canada, 2005.
Yasir Iqbal is MEED’s Construction Editor. He has been with MEED for more than 3 years, working as a researcher, writer and construction expert. Before joining MEED, Yasir worked as an analyst at a regional project tracking platform where he led a team of researchers analysing the projects market and providing expert assessments for key project stakeholders across the region.
His specific area of expertise is the Saudi Arabia construction market, with a particular focus on the giga projects program on which he is widely-known for his insights and commentary. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Kashmir.
